Customer Update: Shipping and Supply Chain Challenges
We want to provide an important update on the current global supply chain situation. The challenges presented through the conflict in the Middle East persist, with extended shipping times, port congestion, and reduced capacity contributing to significant cost increases in sea freight.Â
This situation has led to increased shipping costs, with standard rates rising by up to 46% and additional Emergency Contingency Surcharge (ECS) fees of $1,500 being applied. We anticipate these market pressures will continue as we approach peak season and into Q3.Â
We continue to work diligently with our sea freight partners to secure space ahead of other users and are doing everything possible to manage these disruptions and provide efficient, cost-effective solutions. Â However, the impact on lead times and cost increases can no longer be absorbed by the lines or importer alone, so additional costs are unavoidable.Â
We appreciate your understanding and continued support during these unprecedented times. We will keep you updated on any further developments and changes to shipping rates and schedules.
